The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced in June that they will launch a 'World Water Challenge 2017' which is the contest for creative solutions about the water problems that the world faced.

World Water Challenge 2017 is the contest program which was first held at the 7th World Water Forum in 2015 to seek solutions and share to solve water problems with people all over the world. It is hosted by The Ministry of land, Infrastructure and Transport.

The Contest will receive 'Challenges' from the people and organizations in the World about water problems such as water shortages, pollution and disasters that we should resolve. It will be conducted in a bid to introduce a solution that can carry out selected challenges.

국토교통부는 전 세계가 직면해 있는 물 문제에 대한 창의적인 해결방안을 공모해 시상하는 '월드워터챌린지2017'을 실시한다고 6일 밝혔다.

월드워터챌린지2017은 전 세계인이 함게 물 문제를 공유하고 이를 극복하기 위한 해결 방안을 모색하고자 지난 2015년 제7차 세계물포럼에서 처음으로 열린 경연 프로그램이다. 주관은 국토부다.

공모전은 세계 각 지역의 국민 또는 단체로부터 물 부족과 오염, 재난 등 해결해야 할 물 문제가 무엇인지에 대한 '도전과제'를 접수 받고, 선별된 도전과제를 실행에 옮길 수 있는 '해결방안'을 공모하는 방식으로 진행된다.
